Alex Spinney Studio

Luciana Torres graduated in Brazil with a degree in paper conservation, and has worked in various aspects of artistic restoration.  She spent her career in Brazil working on mainly architectural landmarks, before moving to New York, where she has continued to restore fine furniture and picture frames.  Luciana has over 15 years experience working in restoration, and has had the opportunity to restore many pieces in the collections of cultural institutions, museums, and for individuals.

Alex Spinney has spent most of her career working in the decorative arts and education fields after receiving a BFA and an MFA in Painting. Through the last 15 years as a working artist, she has developed a great appreciation for craftsmanship and materials, which led her to pursue restoration and gilding.
