About Golden Pigeon Studio
Golden Pigeon Studio is made of two partners Luciana Torres and Alex Spinney. Alex and Luciana have worked together for the past two years for the renowned fine arts service company, Julius Lowy Frame and Restoring Company, whose clientele includes collectors of fine art, auction houses and Museums. Alex and Luciana have a combined experience of ten years, restoring and reproducing all periods and styles of frames. Under the name of Golden Pigeon, they have executed a variety of freelance projects, including reverse glass-gilded signage, murals and the restoration of art objects and furniture.

Luciana Torres graduated in Brazil with a degree in paper conservation, and has worked in various aspects of artistic restoration. She spent her career in Brazil working on mainly architectural landmarks, before moving to New York, where she has continued to restore fine furniture and picture frames. Luciana has over 15 years experience working in restoration, and has had the opportunity to restore many pieces in the collections of cultural institutions, museums, and for individuals.
